The District School Board of Collier County approved the 2026 CCPS Florida Legislative Platform at the Regular School Board Meeting on October 8, 2025.
Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) and the Collier County Education Association (CCEA) met on September 24, 2025 for the ninth bargaining session for the 2025–26 school year.

Dr. Susan Jordan
Welcome to Lavern Gaynor Elementary School, home of the Sea Turtles! It is my great honor to be the Principal of a Leader in Me school, implementing the Franklin Covey Leader in Me framework. As a Leader in Me school, our students lead and learn using the habits, skills and strategies that develop their own unique leadership abilities. Our LGE Sea Turtles will grow both academically and personally as they set and work towards their Wildly Important Goals (WIGS). We believe that the partnership between home and school results in students who are prepared for both life and learning.
